Croatian Wakeboard Tour 2011

Events

CWT 2011 is a series of four cable and one boat wakeboard competitions, aimed to promote wakeboarding in Croatia and Slovenia.

Riders of all nationalities are invited to take part at Porec Open, Zrce Open, Crikva Open, Cable Krk Jam and Porec Big Time Open. Croatian and Slovenian Nationals are closed for foreign riders.

All riders will be awarded points for the Croatian Tour overall prizes, which will be given at the tour finals in Porec.

Liability: The Organizer does not undertake any liability for damage to persons, material or property against competitors, Technical Official (TO), judges, official helpers and the other persons.

All competitors take part on their own risk in every respect even if they are engaged out of the competition, e.g. in any additional program. With the entry of the competition they give up any claim from cases of loss of any kind arising indirectly or directly during event. Actives ought to have effected a private accident insurance. Damage to a third party (e.g. spectators) is insured only within the limits of the organizers liability.

Cable Pag is located on the Northern Adriatic coast, on the island Pag, about 150 km from Croatia’s biggest port, Rijeka. The island is connected to the mainland by a bridge (direction Zadar) and ferry (direction Senj-port Prizna).

Route planning

If you’re coming from Slovenia:

When you reach Croatia, follow the direction Zagreb-Split. It’ll lead you around the city of Rijeka. Follow the directions Split, Crikvenica, Senj.

If you’re coming from Zagreb, take the exit Senj and follow the direction Split.

Accommodation

All competitors see to their accommodation themselves.

Island Pag is entirely tourism oriented, hence a variety of hotels, apartments and camping spots in the area, as well as bars and restaurants. Few kilometers from the cable is town Novalja, with a number of hotels and apartments. Hotels are usually considerably more expensive than apartments. For more info on accommodation in the area you can visit the Sunturist travel agency web site www.sunturist.hr. If you send an e-mail request to sunturist@gs.t-com.hr, they will be glad to book the accommodation for you, we recommend apartments in Novalja.

50th Anniversary Rixen Cableways –international Championship
Date: July 1st till 3rd of 2011
Cable/Location: Aschheim/ Germany

The championship will only be a wakeboard contest. It will feature 10.000 Euro cash prize, 3000 Euro Open Men 1st place and 1000 Euro Open Ladies 1st place. The competition will be open to every rider from around the world, but the numbers of participants are limited. First come, first serve. Additionally it will feature awaterskishow and a meet and greet with Mr. Rixen.
